Event: 400 Meter Hurdles and who knows what else…
Track Background: I ran at St. Lawrence University in upstate New York. We had a small team and were often outnumbered 2 to 1 by our competitors so I ran anything from the 100m hurdles to the 800 meters plus field events. As an example, at the 2000 NY State Championship I ran the 100m hurdles, 200m, 400m hurdles, 4x100m, 4x400m, and competed in the individual high jump, long jump and did the Heptathlon. I placed in the top three in five of those events. In 1999, I was 10th in the 400m hurdles at the National Championships. Then at the 1999 New York State Championship, we took 1st and broke the state record in the 4 x 800m relay with a team consisting of three members of our 4 x 400m relay (myself included). What our team lacked in quantity we made up for in versatility and were consistently ranked in the top 2 in the state.
Recent Performances: I’ve run a marathon, a handful of half-marathons and too many 5ks to remember. Most recently I ran the 209 mile Reach the Beach Relay race in New Hampshire where our team was 2nd of 148 in our division and 12th of 429 overall
Latest News: Nostalgia brought me back to the track after a ten year hiatus (And I also got tired of running all those long distance races!).
