Last Updated (Wednesday, 10 March 2010 00:51) George Haywood Wins World MedalGeorge Haywood, a member of the Houston Elite track club, won his first ever world championship medal on Wednesday March 3rd 2010. George took 3rd in the mens 55-59 age bracket in the 200m dash. It was an exciting race as George came off the final turn in 4th, putting on a late charge at the end, and great lean, which resulted in a fall at the tape, but was all worth it as he was declared the 3rd place finish after review of the photo finsh.
